Did you know your Play Fair PDX tickets give you access to all of Rose City Comic Con? There are plenty of activities to do and things to see all weekend long. From celebrity guests to tabletop gaming, see some of our picks for ways parents can geek out too.

6. Retro Arcade

Who doesn’t love a round of Donkey Kong? Explore old school games and get that high score in the Retro Arcade. RCCC teamed up with Portland Retro Gaming Expo and Ground Kontrol to bring you the best games. The best part? It’s completely free to play.

5. Beer & Wine

It’s been a long week, what better way to unwind than browsing boxes and boxes of comics with a beer in your hand? RCCC is once again bringing Ninkasi beer into the convention center. Not a beer fan? There’s also wine available at stalls throughout the building.

4. Tabletop Gaming

Whether you are a dungeon master or a Jedi, there are tons of choices for the board game fan in RCCC’s tabletop gaming area. Looking for tournaments? RCCC teamed up with Cascade Games to bring competitions all weekend long. Looking for something more casual? Don’t worry, Rainy Day Games and Gamestorm have all types of games for fans to play.

3. Solo: A Star Wars Story Costume and Prop Exhibit

Travel to a galaxy far, far away with official props and costumes from Solo: A Star Wars Story. Featuring Lucasfilm’s pieces for Han Solo, Lando Calrissian and more, you’ll take a step into the story and get up close with costumes worn in the movie.

2. Karate Kid Screening

Join RCCC after the Karate Kid panel for a special screening of the 1984 classic, The Karate Kid starring Rose City Comic Con guests, Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, and Martin Kove. This screening is free of charge with your Rose City Comic Con badge. A bullied teen learns self-defense and self-confidence from a sage handyman. It happens Friday, September 7 at 8:00 PM.

1. Celebrity Guests

It wouldn’t be a comic con without your favorite celebrity guests! RCCC has guests like David Tennant (Doctor Who), Evangeline Lily (Ant-Man and the Wasp) and Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy). Buy a photo with your fave celebs and attend their panels for behind-the-scenes stories.
